Add the scores together for the period specified on the bet. An odd total is 1, 3, 5 or another odd number; an even total includes 0, 2, 4 and so on. A typical full-match football market covers normal time plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and a penalty shootout. The actual selection's rules determine which period applies.
- At 3–0, the combined score is three: the odd selection settles as a win.
- At 2–2, four goals have been scored: the even selection wins.
- At 0–0, the total remains zero, which belongs to the even side.
Read the market label even if you recognise the teams. A first-half selection, live market or tournament-specific option can have a different settlement window from the full-match bet beside it.

- Confirm whether the selection refers to the whole match or a shorter period.

During a dangerous attack or a penalty review, the market may pause or change price. Repeatedly pressing the confirmation button does not overcome a suspension. Wait for a clear market state before deciding whether the selection still suits what you intended.
Read the Match, With Its Limits in Mind
Recent scoring and conceding records tell you more about a team's football than a list labelled odd or even. Even so, match analysis cannot turn parity into a certainty. Avoid treating a sequence of even totals as evidence that an odd one must follow; the labels themselves provide little basis for that prediction.
Check the Available Players and Playing Conditions
A missing forward, a changed defensive line or a congested fixture schedule can affect how a team plays. Confirmed selections and the weather may help you judge the likely pace. They remain pieces of context, rather than instructions to choose one side of the market.
Consider What the Teams Need From the Fixture
A side protecting a knockout advantage may approach a match differently from one that must score to stay in the competition. Relegation pressure can also alter decisions late in a game. Consider those circumstances without assuming they dictate the final goal count.
Live Markets Add a Timing Problem
Watching a match gives you the current score, dismissals and a sense of its tempo. It also leaves less time to review a bet. An odd score at halftime does not create a mathematical requirement for an even final score; a theory that totals need to balance out is not a sound reason to enter.
Your broadcast may lag behind the market. Check the score and clock in the PP6 panel, and review any revised odds before accepting them. An attempted bet can still be rejected while the underlying match state changes.
